Photo Hunters: Rare

Doesn't get much rarer than this (literally)! Maguro on display at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Japan. Also very rare to see in Tokyo....and Japan in general from what I noticed, is to see a North American baby......especially a blue-eyed one. This is me crossing the street while pushing my blue-eyed American son in his stroller.

Very appropriate picture for the theme! I'm not much for dead fish - raw or cooked. I do like live fish though. lol.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, both great shots and takes on the theme. My brother just got back from Tokyo a month ago, he performed in the opera Fidelio there.

Yes, but do you get people coming up to you in the street and wanting to look at him. I remember a childhood vacation to Romania where my sister with VERY blonde hair and me with very red hair were the centre of attention for locals at times, they kept trying to touch our hair, Ewwww! At least it was ewww to me at the time.

Both terrific "rare" photos. That fish looks good to me, but my humans prefer their fish to be cooked!

Great entries for this week's theme. You and your baby certainly stand out nicely in the crowd. Thanks for sharing.

Great photos!! Some friends of mine live in Taiwan when their red-headed daughter was little. Everytime they would go out, the people there wanted to hold her and get there picture taken with her!

I've never tried sushi.

Don't know if I could handle it, LOL.

Cool! So maguro is tuna? I would think it would be plentiful there. Always learning!
